Sunday, 29 March 2020, through 42.195km, you will have the feeling of going back to the past for two thousend years. Back in the history of Rome Caput Mundi, its empire and greatness.
Run Rome The Marathon is a journey in the eternal city that will make you fall in love with running and the marathon, forever. The rhythm of your heartbeat will be as one with the other participants, with which you will share the wonders of the route: starting from Fori Imperiali, passing in front of the Vittoriano, in Piazza Venezia, you will gaze at Circo Massimo, feel the breeze of Lungotevere, come accross Castel Sant’Angelo, viale della Conciliazione, St. Peter’s Basilica.
The course will carry on through Foro Italico, the Mosque of Rome, you will be running on the same steets trampled a few millennia ago by the ancient Romans. On the route, you won’t miss Piazza Navona, Via del Corso, Piazza del Popolo and Piazza di Spagna, with the famous stairway of Trinità dei Monti. The main character of the marathon will be the Colosseum, majestic background, start and finish points of the race.
Running and monuments, sweat and history, personal achievements and medals to conquer, joy, thrills and tears. Rome will surround you, will embrace you, will capture you, Rome awaits you.

Anyone can be main character on Sunday, March 29, in the most wonderful city in the world.
Even who never runs.
Even who thinks it’s impossible.
Even who thinks… maybe, one day…
That day has come. The new Run4Rome is a relay, a race to run in teams of four people which will make you live a day as a gladiator. In the Run4Rome relay you will feel the emotion of crossing the finish line of a marathon.
Don’t think, act: put together your team and begin to dream. You will race with your lifetime friends, or gym pals, or colleagues, your siblings or cousins, because the Run4Rome can be a family affair, a family challenge.
Fun is guaranteed, excitement is multiplied by four because your teammates are there, to run for you and with you, to win all together. More or less ten kilometers each, it’s achievable isn’t it?
Running the Run4Rome is a big goal, but it’s possible, because “many hands make light work” and allows you to pursue your dreams in one of the most suggestive courses in the world. Start and finish at Fori Imperiali, crossing the Vittoriano in piazza Venezia, Circo Massimo and Lungotevere, Castel Sant’Angelo, Viale della Conciliazione and St. Peter’s Basilica.
The list is still long, but you can do it. Foro Italico, the Mosque of Rome, the city center, piazza Navona, the Pantheon, via del Corso e piazza del Popolo, piazza di Spagna, dominated from the famous stairway of Trinità dei Monti. The main character of the marathon will be the Colosseum, majestic background, start and finish points of the race.

On this unforgettable day, you can be a protagonist of the scene. Think about Rome as a big movie set, an open-air museum, with its impressive 4,5 kilometers through the ancient city center: from Fori Imperiali, to the Vittoriano in Piazza Venezia and Circo Massimo, crossing them at your own pace, running or walking, with no hurry, only willing to be there, to feel good, to live Rome in a different way, enjoying the streets with no cars and breathe the true essence of the eternal city.
The City Run is life-style, is fashion, is conquering the city for one day and make it a little bit yours.
Anyone can do it, kids and adults, from 0 to 99 years old.
It’s a non-competitive race open to any individual, there is no need of medical certificate or Federal membership (as required in Italy). Created to amuse and have fun, to make Rome and its marathon great, even greater. In the past years, up to eighty thousand people took part in the race. The most participated City Run in the world, because when in Rome, everything is great.
